ABOUT Mix veggie khichdi( for all age groups) RECIPE

This is a complete one pot meal full of nutrients. It's good for all age groups as it contains all the important nutrients which should be indulge in a perfect meal. I serve this khichdi to my 2 and a half years old munchkin as well as my grandmother in law because it full fill all the requirements of the body. Its very easy to make and delicious too. This khichdi includes rice moong Dal carrots peas tomatoes potatoes with some normal home spices like jeera turmeric powder and salt. I have also added little red chilli powder for little chatpata taste as my son and mother in law likes but you can skip it. You can add or remove veggies from it according to your preference and taste. This khichdi is not marizo(patients) wali that only be eaten by sick people. You can make it chatpata as you like. This time give a change to you regular food menu at home and try this nutritious and delicious khichdi.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. One cup rice
  2. Half cup yellow moong Dal ( mix dal and rice and soak half and before cooking. Wash them and keep aside)
  3. One small Carrot chopped
  4. Half cup green peas
  5. One chopped tomato
  6. One chopped green chilli
  7. Half tbsp jeera
  8. One tbsp ghee
  9. Half tbsp turmeric powder
  10. Half tbsp red chilli powder ( can be skipped)
  11. Salt
  12. Water

Instructions

  1. Heat cooker and add ghee. Then add jeera
  2. Now add all the chopped veggies and give it a mix
  3. Now add turmeric powder salt red chilli powder. Then add soaked rice and Dal with 2 glasses of water
  4. Close the lid and cook till one whistle. Rest cooker for few minutes and then open
  5. Serve hot with dallop of ghee and fryums
