ABOUT Lajwabh chicken Masala RECIPE

This is a delicious and easy chicken curry recipe which can be served with some roti or rice.

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Chicken 750gm
  2. 2 Bay Leaves
  3. 1 big onion finely chopped
  4. 2 small tomatoes finely chopped
  5. 3 tbsp oil
  6. 3 tsp of red chilli powder
  7. 1 tsp turmeric powder
  8. 2 cup of water
  9. Coriander leaves for marinating
  10. For paste :
  11. 2 tsp oil
  12. One Small onion
  13. 5/6 flakes of garlic
  14. Ginger - 1 inch
  15. 2 tbsp of coconut
  16. 1 tsp coriander seeds
  17. Little coriander leaves
  18. 1 tsp cumin seeds
  19. 4 black pepper corns
  20. 4 cloves
  21. 1 small piece of cinnamon
  22. 1 small cardamom

Instructions

  1. For paste Heat a pan add 1 tbl sp of oil Once it get heated add sliced onion to it. Once the onion turns little pink in colour add chopped ginger and garlic. Fry for little while remove it from the pan.
  2. Now heat pan again add 1tspn of oil once the oil gets heated add coriander seeds, cumin seeds ,cloves, back pepper, cardamon, cinnamon once spices gets heated remove it than in same pan add the grated coconut get it heated without adding oil once it gets heated remove it.
  3. Add all the above ingredients in the mixer jar and add the coriander leaves to it and make fine
  4. For cooking : Now in a pan add 3 tbl sp of oil Once the oil gets heated add 2 bay leaves Than add finely chopped onion fry it for a while Once the onion turns pink in color add the above paste to it let it get cooked with onion for 2 mins.
  5. Then add red chilli powder, turmeric powder, salt Keep it stirring once the oil starts getting separated from the gravy Add finely chopped tomatoes to it .
  6. Let the tomatoes get cooked in the gravy once the tomatoes become soft add the washed chicken to it Let the chicken get cooked in the leave for 5 min then u can add 2 cup water to the gravy .
  7. Once chicken is cooked add the coriander leaves and turn off the gas .
