ABOUT Bhel puri RECIPE

Bhel puri is a delicious mixture of puffed rice, sev, tomatoes, potatoes, onions and sweet-sour-spicy chutneys. We can prepare bhel puri at home following this simple recipe.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Oil - 1 tablespoon
  2. Puffed rice - 1 and 1/2 cups
  3. Salt - to taste
  4. Trumeric powder - 1/2 tablespoon
  5. Boiled potato - 1/3 cup
  6. Tomato(chopped) - 1/3 cup
  7. Onion(chopped) - 3 tablespoons
  8. Green chilli - 1
  9. Green chutney - 1 and 1/2 tablespoons
  10. Tamarind chutney - 1 and 1/2 tablespoons
  11. Sev - 1/2 cup
  12. Chaat masala - 1/2 teaspoon
  13. Red chilli powder - 1 teaspoon
  14. Garam masala - 1/2 teaspoon
  15. Papdi - 3
  16. Coriander leaves - 3
  17. Lemon juice - as per taste

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a pan and add puffed rice, salt, turmeric powder and mix well.
  2. Now transfer the roasted puffed rice to a bowl. Add boiled potatoes, chopped tomatoes and onions, green chilli, green chutney, tamarind chutney, sev, chaat masala, red chilli powder, garam masala, crushed papdi, lemon juice, mix well.
  3. Now put papdi in a serving bowl and pour the mixture over it.
  4. Garnish with sev and coriander leaves.
  5. Yummy bhel puri is ready to be served.
