Ingredients Serving: 10

  1. khoya / Kova (unsweetened) - 1 cup
  2. Maida/ All purpose flour - 3 tblsp
  3. Sodium bi carbonate (cooking soda) - 1/8 tsp
  4. Elachi/ cardamom - 2
  5. Sugar - 1 & 1/2 cups
  6. Water - 1 & 1/2 cups
  7. Saffron (optional) - Few strands
  8. essence (optional) - 2 drops
  9. Oil/ vanaspathi/ Ghee - As need for deep frying

Instructions

  1. . Take khoya, maida and cooking soda in a mixing bowl. Mix well.
  2. Slowly add water (add carefully as less is needed) and make a smooth dough without any cracks
  3. keep aside for 5 min.
  4. Prepare the sugar syrup with water, sugar, powdered elachi and saffron, bring to boil and boil for 8 minutes to 10 minutes in medium flame.
  5. Fry jamon in Hot oil until it turn golden brown.
  6. Drain oil and add it into hot syrup.
  7. Add essence of u wish.
