Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. milk 2 lts
  2. desi ghee for frying
  3. sugar 1 cup
  4. cardamom 6-7
  5. saffron
  6. suji 1 teaspoon
  7. baking soda 1/2 teaspoon
  8. almond
  9. maida 1/2 teaspoon

Instructions

  1. first take 1 lt of milk in two separate bowls and bring it to boil
  2. in one bowl when the milk starts boiling squeeze a lemon into it and make chhena
  3. now transfer it into a strainer and then tie it in a muslin cloth and hang it for 20 mins
  4. in the meanwhile boil the other 1 lt milk and reduce it till it becomes half
  5. now add sugar,cardamom powder and saffron into it...put off the flame
  6. take out the hanging chhena and mash it well..
  7. now add suji,powder sugar 1 tablespoon,cardamom powder, 1/2 teaspoon maida,1/4teaspoon of baking soda and mash well
  8. now make small balls in palm and flatten it a bit
  9. heat desi ghee in a pan and fry the balls
  10. when golden brown both sides transfer the balls in the reduced milk
  11. garnish with chopped almonds
