Spicy Cauliflower (Gobi) Pizza Balls

My kid hates veggies so I generally experiment to introduce veggies to his favorite foods. One such experiment is these pizza balls. Its so yummy that not just kids, adults would equally love it

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. 1 medium cauliflower
  2. Half cup grated cheese
  3. 2-3 tbsp red chilli flakes (adjust)
  4. Salt and pepper to taste
  5. 2tbsp pizza sauce
  6. 1 cup or more breadcrumbs
  7. 3tbsp Maida
  8. 2tbsp corn flour
  9. 1tsp oregano
  10. 1egg

Instructions

  1. Boil water with pinch of turmeric. Add Cauliflower florets to the boiling water. Boil it for 4-5 minutes
  2. Drain water and allow the Cauliflower to dry
  3. Grind the Cauliflower. Now take this gobi in a bowl. Add egg salt pepper red chilli flakes oregano, cheese . Mix well. Refrigerate for 30 mins
  4. Add 1tbsp corn flour to Cauliflower mix and mix well
  5. In a shallow plate make thin flour paste with maida and 1tbsp corn flour and in another shallow plate have breadcrumbs
  6. Make small balls, gently roll over flour paste then breadcrumbs. These are gooey balls so handle gently, in case it loses shape, you can re-shape it. Do this until mix is completed. Refrigerate for 15 minutes
  7. You can fry immediately or later or next day. Heat oil in a wok. Fry on low to medium flame. Don't over fry as it contains cheese. Don't overcrowd the pan, fry in batches
  8. Keep it on absorbent towel to absorb excess oil. Serve hot with Sauce or ketchup
