ABOUT Cheesy Green Dal Bonda RECIPE

These bonda made from fenugreek vegitable and split greem gram . The outer layer is Crispy and inner filling is soft and cheesy

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 2 cups split green gram dal
  2. 1 big cup Fenugreek leaves
  3. 2-3 green chili
  4. 4 boiled potatoes
  5. 1 tsp Garam masala
  6. Red chili powder 1 tsp - adjust
  7. 1 tsp chat masala
  8. 1 tsp red chili flakes
  9. Salt to taste
  10. 2 cups grated cheese
  11. Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Wash and soak dal for 2 hours. Drain excess water and keep it aside
  2. In a bowl , add potatoes and mash well. Add salt , red chili powder , garam masala and mix well .
  3. Mix grated cheese with red chili flakes in separate bowl
  4. Take 2 tbsp potato mixture and shape into small ball. Flatten it. Add 2 tsp grated cheese to it and seal potato ball completely
  5. Grind dal , methi,salt and green chili to form smooth paste .
  6. Dip potato balls in dal paste and coat well. Drop balls in hot oil and deep fry until golden brown over medium heat
  7. Serve cheesy bonda hot with tomato sauce
