Garden green Dhokla is a healthy steam dish.We can eat in snacks or breakfast.Dhokla is a very popular Gujarati dish ,i have given it a interesting twist by adding leafy vegetables.

For white Dhokla
Chawli Dal -3/4 cup
Fenugreek and dill leaves chopped-1/2 cup
Ginger and Green chili paste-1 tsp
Oil-1 tsp
salt to Taste
Baking Soda-1/4 tsp
For Green Dhokla
Semolina-1/2 cup
curd 1/4 cup
Spinach and Chili puree 1/4 cup
Oil 1 tsp
Baking Soda-1/4 tsp
Salt to taste
For Tempering
Oil 2 tsp
Sesame seeds 2 tsp
Red chili powder 1 tsp
Instructions
For White Dhokla
Soak Dal overnight, drain excess water and grind it to smooth paste
Add chopped leafy greens ,ginger chilly paste and salt to paste. Mix well
Add water and soda with little hot oil to form smooth batter. Pour the batter in greased idli molds
Steam for 10 minutes, demould and insert dhoklas into skewers. Keep it aside
For Green Dhokla
Add Semolina, curd ,spinach paste and adequate water in a bowl. Mix well to form smooth batter
Add salt, soda and little hot oil. Mix well. Pour batter in greased idli molds
Steam it for 10-12 minutes. Cool for 5 minutes. Demould and insert them on skewers on top and bottom of white dhokla
For Tempering-Heat oil in pan. Add Sesame seeds and chili powder. Saute for few seconds. Sprinkle little water. Now pour the tempering over dhoklas. Serve warm with chutney
