When it is about "Chana "everybody gets "chole chana masala" in thier mind but here i have used coconut with chana and prepared a gravy.
I will surely try this.
Clean and Soak Kabuli chana overnight
Grind grated coconut ,ginger ,green chili, coriander leaves with little water to smooth paste
Pressure cook chickpeas until done, keep it aside
Heat oil in a pan, add jeera , red chili and curry leaves. Saute for 1 minute
Add chopped onions and saute until translucent
Add chopped tomatoes and cook until tender
Add cooked kabuli chana with water and mix well
Add salt, mix and bring to boil
Add ground paste, jaggery and mix well, add additional water if required. Cook for 5-6 minutes
Add coriander leaves and mix well
Gravy is ready to be served with chapati ,phulka or dosa.
