ABOUT Bhindi Posto RECIPE

Bhindi posto is perfect vegetarian dish of summer,you can have it anytime ,but in summer it is perfect as it is cooked with less oil and spices.Bhindi or ladies finger cooked with poppy seeds paste.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Bhindi 250 grams, chopped
  2. Poppy seeds- 4 tablespoon
  3. Nigella seeds/kalonji - 1/2 tsp
  4. Salt to taste
  5. Turmeric powder-1/2 teaspoon
  6. Green chili- 2 , slit

Instructions

  1. Soak poppy seeds in warm water for 30 minutes and grind to smooth paste with adequate water
  2. Heat oil in a pan.Temper the oil with green chili and nigella seeds
  3. Add bhindi , stir fry until light brown
  4. Add salt and turmeric. Mix well
  5. Add 1/2 cup water and bring to boil
  6. Simmer and cover the pan. Cook until bhindi is done
  7. Add poppy seeds paste,mix well and cook for 5 minutes over low heat.
  8. Serve hot with Steamed rice
