Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Ladies finger 150 grams chopped
  2. Oil 2 tsp
  3. Onion 1 ,chopped
  4. Tomato 1, chopped
  5. Garlic 3, minced
  6. Mustard seeds 1 tablespoon
  7. Urad dal 1 tablespoon
  8. Turmeric powder 1/2 tablespoon
  9. Chili powder 2 tablespoon
  10. Coriander powder 2 tablespoon
  11. Tamarind gooseberry size
  12. Curry leaves 6-7
  13. Grated coconut 1/2 cup
  14. Water 1 cup
  15. Salt to taste
  16. 2 shallots

Instructions

  1. Heat 1 tsp of oil and fry ladies finger for 5 min. and keep it aside.
  2. Blend coconut and shallots and keep it aside
  3. Heat 1 tsp oil in a pan and splutter mustard seeds . Add urad dal and onions. Saute till light golden brown.
  4. Add tomato and cook for 3 minutes. Add salt,turmeric powder,chili powder,coriander powder,curry leaves and mix well
  5. Add tamarind water and ladies finger. Mix well. Cover and cook for 7 min.
  6. Now add coconut paste. Mix well. Bring to boil, simmer and cook for 10 min. Serve hot
