Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Mattar or peas - 1 cup
  2. Chopped methi - 1 cup
  3. Green chilies - 3
  4. Tomato - 1
  5. Cashew nuts - 5 - 6
  6. Cinnamon - 1 inch stick
  7. Cloves - 2
  8. Malai or cream - 1 tsp
  9. Garam masala - a pinch
  10. Salt - to taste
  11. Oil - 1 tbsp
  12. Poppy seeds - 2 tbsp
  13. Cardamom - 2

Instructions

  1. Boil the methi and green peas with one cup of water and salt.
  2. Drain the water and keep aside.
  3. Heat oil in a pan, add cinnamon,cardamom and cloves and saute for a minute
  4. Blend the green chilies, cashew nuts,tomato and poppy seeds to make a paste.
  5. Add the paste in a pan and saute for 3-4 mins.
  6. When the oil separate from the spices add methi, peas and malai and stir continuously.
  7. Add garam masala and salt. Mix well. Serve hot
