ABOUT Palak dhokla RECIPE

These healthy dhoklas are made from gram flour,semolina and spinach.The tempering gives a nice crunchiness to these soft dhoklas.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Besan/gram flour-1 cup
  2. Semolina/rawa-2 tbsp
  3. Spinach -1 cup
  4. Curd-2 tbsp
  5. Ginger-1 inch
  6. Green Chillies-2
  7. Eno fruit salt-1 tsp
  8. oil-1 tbsp
  9. For Tempering:
  10. oil-1 tbsp
  11. Mustard seeds-1 tsp
  12. Sesame seeds-1 tsp
  13. Curry Leaves-8
  14. Green Chilli-1
  15. For Garnishing:
  16. Grated coconut-1 tbsp
  17. Coriander-1 tbsp

Instructions

  1. Take besan and semolina in a big bowl.
  2. Take spinach ,ginger and green chilli in mixer and make puree.
  3. Add this puree ,curd and salt to flour.
  4. Whisk properly.keep for 20 minutes.Prepare steamer and grease a thali.
  5. Now add oil,eno and hot water.Mix and pour this batter in greased thali.
  6. Keep the thali in steamer for about 10 minutes.Check whether cooked by inserting knife.
  7. Cut into pieces.
  8. Now prepare oil in small pan for tempering.Add mustard seeds,sesame seeds ,curry leaves and green chilli pieces.
  9. Pour this on the palak dhokla.Sprinkle grated coconut and coriander.
  10. Serve with green chutney and ketchup.
