ABOUT Curry Leaves Tambuli RECIPE

Curry leaves are rich source of iron and folic acid. It's consumption has good number of health benefits such as it improves hair growth,  lowers cholesterol, blood sugar levels etc. Normally it is used in tadkas to get nice aroma but it's our bad habit to throw them. So how can we consume it by making tasty and healthy Tambuli? If you wish to try here is my recipe.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Curry leaves 8- 10 springs 
  2. Cumin seeds 1/2 tsp
  3. Pepper corns 1 tsp
  4. Grated coconut 1/4 cup
  5. Water as required to grind
  6. Buttermilk 1.5 cup
  7. Mustard seeds 1 tsp
  8. Red chilly 2
  9. Oil  1 tsp
  10. Ghee 1 tsp
  11. Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Take a tadka pan, heat ghee.
  2. Fry cumin and pepper , add curry leaves, fry for about 3-4 minutes.
  3. Now grind the above with coconut , salt and little water.
  4. Add  buttermilk to the ground paste.
  5. Do the seasoning with oil, mustard and red chilly.
  6. Serve with rice.

Can I use butter in the place of ghee?
