A perfect treat for your taste buds. An Indian sweet made by deep frying lentil batter and then soaked in sugar syrup served on rabri bed.
I will surely make this in my son's birthday.
Wash urad daal 3-4 times. Soak the daal in 4 cups water for 6-7 hours.
Drain the water after soaking.
Grind it into smooth paste using 1/2 cup water.
Add orange color to paste and mix well. Beat the mixture using hand whisk for 3-4 minutes.
Heat ghee in a pan.
Pour the daal mixture into a piping bag or a cloth with a hole at centre.
Make large and thick spirals in ghee by pressing the cloth.
Deep fry from both sides.
Similarly, make all the Imartis. Take them out.
For making sugar syrup, add sugar in a pan. Add water for making sugar syrup.
Add milk to it.
Let it boil. When it reaches the consistency of one string, add lemon juice. All impurities will collect at the top.
Remove impurities and switch off the gas.
Add the prepared imartis to sugar syrup.
For preparing rabri, add 4 cups milk in a heavy bottomed pan.
Boil it and simmer the gas.
When the quantity of milk reduced to half, add condensed milk.
Mix well and let it cook on sim for 10 minutes.
Switch off the gas. Add nuts to it.
Pour rabri. Put Imartis on it. Garnish with Nuts and rose petals.
