Fried Pattice with Spiced Potato Filling

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 1 cup refined flour
  2. A pinch of hing
  3. 7 green chillies
  4. 1 inch piece ginger
  5. 1/2 tbsp mint leaves chopped
  6. 4 tsp Coriander powder
  7. 2 tsp pomegranate seeds
  8. Salt to taste
  9. 6-7 tbsp oil
  10. 1 tbsp Corainder leaves chopped
  11. 3 tsp raw mango powder
  12. 2 tsp chilli powder
  13. 50 ml water
  14. Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Boil , Peel and mashed the potatoes.
  2. Add salt , hing spices, chopped green chillies, finely chopped Ginger, finely chopped Coriander leaves n mint leaves
  3. Mix thoroughly and divide into 8 equal portions shaped round and small.
  4. In a separate vessel mix flour,oil and water to make soft and sticky dough. keep it aside for some time.
  5. Divide the dough into 8 equal portions. Flatten each portion with the palm of ur hand and place a potato filling in the centre.Seal the kachori properly by extending the sides of the dough.Round the kachori and flatten it gently.
  6. Heat the oil for frying on a medium flame. When hot deep fry the kachori on a medium flame till golden brown in colour. Remove and drain out excess oil.
  7. Kachori is a snack , can be served with any meals or as a savoury snack with Green Chutney
