Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. 2.cup white urad dal
  2. Salt to taste
  3. 1/4tsp jeera
  4. Oil for frying
  5. For Sambher 1 cup tuar (Arhar)Dal
  6. 1 cup chopped mixed vegetables.
  7. for tempering 2 tbs oil
  8. 1/4tsp mustard seeds.
  9. 10 kari patta
  10. 4 dry red chillies.
  11. 1tbs sambher powder.
  12. Salt to taste.
  13. 1/4tsp turmeric powder.
  14. 1/4tsp red chilly powder.
  15. Green coriander leaves.
  16. 2 tsp tamarind paste.

Instructions

  1. Vadas- Soak the urad dal for 2hrs.
  2. Strain it completely
  3. Now grind the dal in mixer
  4. Add salt and cumin seeds.
  5. Beat well with hands.
  6. Now heat the oil in a karahi.
  7. Make the flatten vadas and make hole with thumb
  8. Fry these vadas and keep aside.
  9. Sambher- boil dal with salt, turmeric powder n chopped mixed vegetables
  10. Cook till 2 whistle.
  11. Open and stir well
  12. Check the consistency.
  13. If thick then add water and boil it.
  14. Now add tamarind pulp and mix it.
  15. tempering- heat oil in a pan, put mustard seeds.
  16. Add dry red chilly and kari patta.
  17. Put red chilly powder, sambher powder and pour in sambher
  18. Mix well.
  19. Garnish with green corinder.
  20. Serve with vadas.
