Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Bitter gourd/karela 4 small sized
  2. Whole big green chillies 3
  3. Mustard oil for shallow frying 2 tablespoon
  4. Salt 3 teaspoon to marinate bitter gourd
  5. For stuffing
  6. Salt to taste
  7. Red chilli powder 1 teaspoon
  8. Dry coriander powder 2 teaspoons
  9. Dry mango powder 1 teaspoon
  10. Garam masala 1 teaspoon
  11. Turmeric 1 teaspoon

Instructions

  1. Slit bitter gourd from centre and apply salt inside and outside both
  2. Keep for 10 minutes
  3. After 10 minutes wash the bitter gourd very well under running water
  4. Squeeze out water and microwave for four minutes
  5. Slit the green chillies from centre
  6. Mix all dry spices together and sprinkle few drops of water to it
  7. Fill the bitter gourd and green chillies with the spices
  8. Now heat pan add mustard oil add bitter gourd and Green chillies cover and cook
  9. On medium flame
  10. Keep flipping to cook evenly
  11. After 15 minutes they will be cooked as they have been microwaved
  12. Switch off
