Kesar shrikhand is a traditional indian sweet form the western indian state of Maharashtra and Gujarat.You will also make this recipe in a festival or any other occasion.Shrikhand is made from hung curd, sugar and chopped nuts are also added for more taste.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Curd 1 bowl
  2. Saffron water 2 tablespoon
  3. Powder sugar 1 cup
  4. Cardamom powder 1 teaspoon

Instructions

  1. First prepare hung curd and take a deep bowl and a strainer.select the bowl or mug which is deep.
  2. Put the cotton/muslim cloth over the strainer add plain yogurt into the prepared strainer.
  3. Tie the edges of the cloth.
  4. Keep the whole thing in to the refrigerator for 12 hours
  5. After 12 hours all the liquid/whey has been drain out left with thick hung curd.
  6. Take thick hung curd in to the bowl.Add Powder sugar,cardamom powder, saffron water and mix it well.
  7. Stir it well using spoon till every thing is incorporated we'll make sure there are no lumps
  8. Now kesar shrikhand is ready to serve with puris.
