Potato stuffed masal bun is super delicious yet easy recipe with simple ingredients.Masala bun are very popular tea time snack in many places in India.It is a perfect evening time snack to enjoy with cup of tea or coffee.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Ingredients for Covering:
  2. Maida 2 cup
  3. Refined oil 3Tbsp
  4. Salt 1 tsp
  5. Sugar 1tsp
  6. Dry Yeast 3/4 tsp
  7. Ingredients for Stuffing:
  8. Boiled potato 2 medium
  9. Peas 1/2 cup
  10. Fresh coriander 2Tbsp
  11. Cumin seeds 1/4 tsp
  12. Hing A pinch
  13. Ginger grated 1/2 tsp
  14. Haldi 1/4 tsp
  15. Coriander powder 1/2 tsp
  16. Chilli powder 1/4 tsp
  17. Garam masala 1/4tsp
  18. Amchur powder 1/4tsp
  19. Milk 1/4 cup

Instructions

  1. Steps for making Dough:
  2. Put maida in a big bowl.
  3. Add sugar,yeast,salt,and oil in the maida and mi well.
  4. Add little amount of luke warm water in the dough at a time.
  5. Prepared a soft dough like we preapred foe chapati's.
  6. Knead dough for 4-5 minutes until becomes soft.
  7. Grease the dough with little oil.
  8. Cover and keep it aside for 20-25 minutes for rise.
  9. Preparing stuffing:
  10. Heat oil in a pan add hing and cumin seeds.
  11. Roast for a while and then add haldi,coriander powder,and peas.
  12. Mash the peas and add mashed potatoes,salt,chilli powder,gram masala and amchur powder.
  13. Mix all ingredients well and cook for 2-3 minutes.
  14. Steps for stuffing Buns:
  15. Divide the dough and stuffing in equal parts.
  16. Take one part in hand and make a round ball.
  17. Flatten the ball with hand and make a well in centre.
  18. Fill the stuffing in the centre and seal the stuffing from all sides.
  19. Flatten the ball into bun sahpe.Same way prepared all the buns.
  20. Grease the baking tray and place the buns on the tray.
  21. Cover the buns with kitchen towel and keep aside for 2 hrs for second rise.
  22. Preheat oven at 200*c for 10 minutes.
  23. Brush the buns with lilltle oil and bake for 20 minutes.
  24. Serve hot.
