ABOUT Shahi paneer RECIPE

A delicious creamy paneer recipe for this diwali.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Paneer (cubed) - 1 cup
  2. Onion (chopped) - 1
  3. Tomatoes (chopped) - 2
  4. Cloves - 2
  5. Cardamom - 2
  6. Cinnamon - 1 inch
  7. Ginger garlic paste - 1 teaspoon
  8. Red chilly powder - 1 teaspoon
  9. Black pepper powder - 1 teaspoon
  10. Garam masala powder - 1/2 teaspooon
  11. Kasuri methi - 1 tablespoon
  12. Salt to taste
  13. Cream (optional) - 1 teaspoon
  14. Refined oil

Instructions

  1. Heat a pan with oil. Once heated add the cloves, CARDAMOM and cinnamon.
  2. As they start smelling, add the chopped onion and sauce till almost golden brown.
  3. Then add the ginger garlic paste and sauce further for few seconds.
  4. Then add the pepper powder, chilly powder, salt and the tomatoes.
  5. Cook till the tomatoes are mushy and leaves oil.
  6. Remove from heat and cool for few minutes.
  7. Then make a paste of this masala.
  8. Heat the pan again with some more oil and then add the masala paste.
  9. Add the garam masala and Kasuri methi.
  10. Cook for few minutes and then add water for gravy..
  11. Bring upto boil and then add the paneer pieces..
  12. Check for salt and add cream, give it a stir. Serve.
