ABOUT Ragi with Mixed Greens Rotti RECIPE

Ragi rotti is made more healthier by using lot of greens. When all the rooted vegetable greens were so fresh and green couldn't stop myself so made rotti. Never throw the greens of rooted veggies , use them in your regular cooking. Sharing with you a simple recipe for breakfast.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Ragi flour 2 cups
  2. Beet Greens 1 bunch
  3. Radish Greens 1 bunch
  4. Carrot Greens 4 springs
  5. Grated ginger 1 spoon
  6. Finely chopped green chilly 1
  7. Cumin seeds 1 tsp
  8. Chutney powder 1 tsp
  9. Mashed Cooked rice 1 cup ( I used pulav instead  )
  10. Salt
  11. Water 1 cup (adjust)

Instructions

  1. Finely chop the Greens by  removing it's stalks.
  2. Add salt, ginger, chilly , chutney powder and keep aside for ten minutes.
  3. Mix ragi flour, mashed rice or pulav and add water  little by little.
  4. Form a soft batter.
  5. Spread  rottis on banana leaf by dipping hands in water. Make a hole in between spread rotti.
  6. Cook on hot tawa in medium flame by applying butter or oil. Cook both the sides by removing banana leaf.
  7. Serve with chutney powder and curd.
