ABOUT Chinese Style Dhokla RECIPE

Very easy and light dish can be eaten for breakfast, as a main course or as a snack.

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Soozi 1 cup
  2. Besan 1/2 cup
  3. Curd 1 cup
  4. Salt 1/2 tsp
  5. Haldi 1/4tsp
  6. Eno 1 sachet
  7. For tempering
  8. onion 1 big
  9. Capsicum 2
  10. curry leaves
  11. Mustard seeds 1 tsp
  12. Salt to taste
  13. Green chilies 2
  14. Chilli powder to taste
  15. Garm masala 1/2tsp
  16. sugar 1/4 tsp
  17. Tomato sauce 3tsp
  18. Green chili sauce 2tsp
  19. Schezwan sauce 1tsp
  20. Oil 3-4 tsp

Instructions

  1. In a bowl mix soozi besan , curd and add water according to the consistency. Leave it for 10min.
  2. Meanwhile grease idli stand and heat water in a pot.
  3. Now add salt, haldi and eno in the mixture.
  4. Put mixture in the idli stand and steam it for 10-15min. on medium flame.
  5. For tempering take oil in pan and heat it. Now add mustard seeds and curry leaves.
  6. As they splutter add capsicum saute for 2min. Now add onion and again saute for 2min.
  7. Add salt,chili powder,garm masala,sugar, all three sauces and cook for 2min.
  8. Cut dhokla into small pieces and nicely mix in the tempering
  9. Serve hot and enjoy anytime.
