Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Green peas 100 gms
  2. White rice or basmathi rice 1 cup
  3. Ginger paste 1 tbsp
  4. bay leaf 1
  5. cinnamon 1 inch
  6. cloves 2
  7. cardamom 1
  8. ghee 1 tbsp
  9. refined oil 1tbsp
  10. Garam masala powder 1tbsp
  11. salt to taste
  12. coriander leaves little

Instructions

  1. Wash the peas and rice thoroughly.
  2. In a pressure cooker, heat ghee and refined oil. To this, add bay leaf, cinnamon ,cardamom and cloves.Saute it for 1 min. Then add ginger paste. Saute it for a min, till the raw smell of ginger goes.
  3. Then to this add green peas and rice. Add required amount of water for this to cook.
  4. Add garam masala powder and salt. Cover the cooker lid.Pressure cook for 2 whistles.
  5. Decorate with coriander leaves. Serve hot.
