Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Wheat 2 cup
  2. Pumpkin purée 1 cup
  3. Jeera 1 tsp
  4. Yeast 2tsp
  5. Salt 1/ 2 tsp
  6. Sugar 1/2 tsp
  7. Milk 1 cup
  8. Milk powder 2tsp

Instructions

  1. First mix all the ingredients together one by one together.
  2. Next in lukewarm milk add the yeast to dissolve to add to the dough mixture. In the meantime make a puree of pumpkin and keep ready.
  3. Add this to the dough mixture very well upside down.
  4. Add the mixture and if slurry add a lil more wheat to make it tight n smooth. Knead thoroughly for 15 mins to get the feel of smoothness
  5. Now keep the prepared dough for 2 hrs to rise and become ready for baking.
  6. Keep the dough wrapped in muslin cloth in room temp
  7. . Prepare the base of the cooker by layering a bed of sand or salt. Now put a stand on it. Preheat the cooker on medium heat for 20 mins. Remove lid n whistle.
  8. Now after 1.5 hr you will see the dough rises and make balls of equal size. Now since we will baking the pumpkin jeera pav in cooker
  9. Now place the balls on the plate to bake in the cooker. On top of the balls brush oil and milk cream to get the moist soft fuffy pav.Keep space between the balls because they will rise. Put the cooker on low flame and bake for 30 mins.
  10. Put the gas on low flame and bake
  11. After 30 min check whether done. You will see the moist fluffy pav with nice burnt colour and beautiful aroma.
  12. Just see the final pumpkin wheat pav after baked. Its soft fuffy moist n yummy to indulge with any bhaji or egg bhurji
