ABOUT Stuffed bittergourd RECIPE

Stuffed Karela makes a great side dish too karelas have many health benefits including home remedy for diabetes .this recipe of stuffed bitter gourd is very easy to prepare and just some onions and our regular Indian spices are required I add some jaggery it's slightly sweet flavour just enhance this dish.

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. Bitter gourd small 12 to 15
  2. Tomato 3 medium chopped
  3. Onion to medium chopped
  4. Garlic 10 cloves
  5. Ginger 3 inch pieces
  6. Cooking oil 2 tablespoon
  7. Cumin seeds 1 teaspoon
  8. Turmeric powder half teaspoon
  9. Red chilli powder half teaspoon
  10. Coriander powder half teaspoon
  11. garam masala half teaspoon
  12. Coriander seeds one teaspoon
  13. Cumin seed one teaspoon
  14. Fennel seeds one teaspoon
  15. Dry mango powder half teaspoon
  16. Laung clover 4
  17. Green elaichi 4
  18. Salt to taste
  19. Jaggery one tablespoon
  20. Tej patta 2

Instructions

  1. Was bitter gourds thoroughly and PIL Karela slightly make a slit in the Karela lengthwise
  2. Add some salt into Karela and keep covered for 15 to 20 minutes and wash in normal water we squeeze out excess water
  3. Cut the tomatoes and onion prepare masala by grinding onion ginger garlic paste
  4. Grind all dry masala and some jaggery ginger garlic onion paste
  5. In a saucepan add oil crackle cumin seeds Tej Patta and all grinded masala and Spices salt fried then add tomato puree cook till masala is start leaving the oil
  6. Feel this fried masala in Karela
  7. Add 2 table spoon of oil in a saucepan over medium heat tej patta cumin seeds, loung and ilayachi.
  8. Spread the stuffed Karela in the pan cover the pan and let it cook for about 3 minutes
  9. Turn the karelas over to the uncook side and cook for about 2 minutes repeat until all sides of the karelas are cooked
  10. The remaining Spice mixture tomatoes over the Karela cover the pan and let it cook for 3 more minutes
  11. Stuffed Karela can be served hot or cold it can be refrigerated up to 5 days
  12. Stuffed Karela is best hard with Roti or as a side vegetables dish with dal rice
  13. your stuffed bitter gourd ready slightly sweet tangi tasty
