ABOUT Kumrora chokha(pumpkin potato sabji) RECIPE

kumrora chokha.. It is a delectable Sabji made with pumpkin and potato teamed up with parbal and kabuli chana. A tempering of panch phoran and other spice powders boost the flavor of these veggies, giving you a tasty Sabji that goes well with rotis, puri and rice too. The best part is it's very easy to make healthy and tasty too.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. 2 cups pumpkin cubes
  2. 1 potato cubes
  3. 1/2 cup snake gourd slices
  4. 1/2 cup boiled chick peas
  5. 1 tablespoon oil
  6. 1 BAY LEAVES
  7. 1 teaspoon panch phoran
  8. a pinch of Hing
  9. 2 whole dry red chilli
  10. 1 Tablespoon turmeric
  11. Salt to taste
  12. Red chilli powder 1 tablespoon
  13. 1 Tablespoon cumin powder
  14. 1 Tablespoon Garam Masala
  15. Grated ginger 1 tablespoon

Instructions

  1. Heat the oil in deep nonstick pan.
  2. Add hing, panch phoran, red chilli, ginger, bay leaves saute well.
  3. Add snake gourd and potato and saute on a medium flame for 3 minutes.
  4. Add pumpkin and 3/4th cup of water mix well.
  5. Add all the masala.
  6. Mix and cover.
  7. Stiring occasionally..
  8. Cook on a medium flame for 3 minutes or till the veggies cooked.
  9. Add boiled chick peas.
  10. Give a good stir.
  11. Serve hot.
