ABOUT STIR-FRIED BEAN SPROUTS WITH HONEY CHILLI DRESSING. RECIPE

Bean sprouts are most common in East-Asian Cuisine. I have stir-fried them lightly with some vegetables. Finally tossed with honey, soya and chilli sauce.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Bean sprouts ..... 500 gms
  2. Carrot ................. 1 (cut into thin strips)
  3. Capsicum .............. 1 (cut into thin strips)
  4. Spring onion ......... 2 sprigs (chopped)
  5. Ginger/garlic paste.. 1 tbsp.
  6. Sesame oil ............................... 1 tbsp.
  7. Soya sauce ................. 1 tbsp.
  8. Honey ...................... 1 tbsp
  9. Chilli sauce ............. 1 tsp (add more if you like them spicier)
  10. Salt ................ to taste

Instructions

  1. In a wok, heat the oil and saute the ginger/garlic paste.
  2. Stir fry the carrot and capsicum for a minute and add the spring onion.
  3. Now add the sprouts and stir fry for two or three minutes.
  4. Stir in the sauces, honey and salt.
  5. Prepare this just before eating because the sprouts should be crunchy
