ABOUT Baked palak Paneer. RECIPE

Palak Paneer is a very common main course dish among Indian household, but this baked palak Paneer have diffrent flavors and layers which makes it unique. It is so creamy and soft that it'll melt in you mouth in no time.

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. 1/2 kg palak.
  2. 200 grams Paneer.
  3. 1/2 cup grated paneer.
  4. 1/4 cup fresh cream or malai.
  5. 1 teaspoon all purpose flour.
  6. 2 onion finally chopped.
  7. 2 tomatoes grated.
  8. 1/4 Tea spoon nutmeg powder.
  9. Salt according to the taste.
  10. 2 green chill.
  11. 1/2 tea spoon red chili powder.
  12. 1/2 tea spoon turmeric powder.
  13. 1/2 tea spoon garam masala.
  14. 1/2 tea spoon cumin seeds.
  15. 1/4 Tea spoon asefotida.
  16. 1 tea spoon tomato ketchup.
  17. Oil for frying.

Instructions

  1. Boil the palak and 2 green chillies . Drain excess water from it and make a puree of palak.
  2. Take heavy bottom pan, add 2 teaspoon oil, add cumin seeds and asefotida to it. Let the cumin seed splutter.
  3. Add chopped onion, saute for 5 min, add all purpose flour to it, again saute for 5 min. Now add pureed palak to the onions, add salt and nutmeg powder. Saute for 7-8 minutes.Switch off the gas.
  4. Heat oil in a pan, add Paneer to it and fry untill little golden in color.
  5. Transfer the fried Paneer in a boiled water(it'll keep the pan soft and excess oil will come out)
  6. Take 2 spoon of oil in a pan add onion, saute until golden brown add tomatoes to it, add salt, garam masala, red chilli powder and 1 tea spoon tomato ketchup. Saute for 6-7 minutes. Add 2 tea spoon cream and Switch off the gas.
  7. Pour the palak mixture in a oven proof dish.
  8. Spread 1/4 cup of cream on it.
  9. Arrange pieces of Paneer on it.
  10. Spread the onions and tomatoes puree mixture on it.
  11. Spread 1/2 cup of crumbled Paneer.
  12. Put the dish in oven and bake it for 12 to 15 minutes at 160 degrees Celsius.
  13. Serve hot with bread of your choice.
