ABOUT Kadhai Chicken RECIPE

Chicken karahi, also known as gosht karahi and kadai chicken is a Pakistani dish noted for its spicy taste and usage of capsicum.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Capsicum dice 1 number.
  2. Tomato puree 1/2 cup
  3. Cream 3 tablespoons.
  4. Kashmir chilly powder 2 tablespoons.
  5. Coriander chopped 2-3 tbsp.
  6. Kadhai masala 1-2 tablespoons.
  7. Ginger garlic 2 tablespoons
  8. Oil 4 tablespoons.
  9. Turmeric powder 1/4 tea spoon.
  10. Salt to taste.
  11. Onion chopped 4 numbers.
  12. cumin seeds 1/2 tea spoon
  13. Chicken 1/2 kg.
  14. For kadhai masala : Pepper corn 1 tea spoon.
  15. Cumin seeds 1 teaspoons
  16. Red chilies 3 number.
  17. Coriander seeds 2 tablespoon.
  18. Fennel seeds 1 tea spoon.
  19. Fenugreek leaves 1 tea spoon.

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a pan, add cumin seeds, red chilies,
  2. Then add ginger garlic paste, cook till raw flavor is gone.
  3. Add chopped onions, cook till onions are brown.
  4. Add salt and red chilly powder
  5. Add chicken
  6. Cook on high flame for 5 minutes. Cover the lid and cook for 5 minutes on medium flame.
  7. Add 1/2 cup of tomato puree
  8. Add 1 tbsp kadhai masala
  9. Add 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  10. Add 1 cup of water and let it cook for 5 minutes
  11. Add 1 chopped capsicum
  12. Add 3 tbsp fresh cream
  13. Off the flame and add 3 tbsp fresh coriander
  14. Serve hot with roti or naan
