Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. 1 kg chicken
  2. 1/2 cup of ghee
  3. 2tbsp of ginger garlic paste
  4. 4 whole red chillies
  5. 1 tbsp coriander seeds
  6. 1 cup tomato purée
  7. 4 green chillies
  8. Coriander chopped
  9. 2 tsp garam masala
  10. 1 cup Onion paste

Instructions

  1. Clean the chicken and cut into eight pieces. Wash and chop the tomatoes.
  2. Dry grind the red chillies and the coriander seeds.
  3. Heat the ghee in a kadhai and add the onion paste and the Ginger garlic paste and fry until a light brown .
  4. Add the dry spices and fry for one minute.
  5. Mix in the tomato puree and the green chillies and cook for a further 3-4 minutes.
  6. Mix in the chicken pieces and cook covering with a lid until the fat leaves the masalas and the gravy becomes thick and the chicken is tender.
  7. Sprinkle garam masala and stir gently.
  8. Remove after two minutes and serve with hot paranthas or naans.
