Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. 1& 1/2 cup chole chana
  2. 1 Onion
  3. 1 tomato
  4. 3 green chillies
  5. 4 garlic cloves
  6. 5 Almonds
  7. 1 tsp roasted peanuts
  8. 1 tsp red Chillie powder
  9. 1/4th tsp turmeric powder
  10. 1 tsp corainder powder
  11. Salt to taste
  12. 1/2 tsp garam masala powder
  13. 1 tsp cumin powder
  14. 2 sprigs of curry leaves
  15. 2 tsp chopped coriander leaves
  16. 1 tsp Lemon juice
  17. 1 bay leaf
  18. 1 tsp Ginger garlic paste
  19. 1/2 tsp chat masala
  20. Water 1 liter
  21. Clarified butter 2 table spoons

Instructions

  1. Pressure cook chana with water and salt.
  2. Grind onion, tomato, green chillie, garlic , almond, and peanuts to a paste.
  3. In a pan take clarified butter , to this add curry leaves, ginger garlic paste and above made paste. Cook for 10 mins.
  4. Add all powdered spices and cook for 5 more minutes
  5. Add pressure cooked chana with half of the water to the above pan , cook till gravy thickens.
  6. Semi mash the chana and corainder leaves, salt and lemon juice and cook for 5 minutes.
  7. Serve hot with puri and onion.
