Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Fine Semolina/suji/rava 1 cup
  2. Curd 1/2 cup
  3. Beetroot pulp 1/2 cup
  4. Ginger-chilli paste 1tablespoon
  5. Salt 1 teaspoon or to taste
  6. Fruit salt (eno) 1 teaspoon
  7. For tempering
  8. Oil 1 tablespoon
  9. Mustard seeds 1 teaspoon
  10. Sesame seeds 1 teaspoon
  11. few curry leaves
  12. Fresh red chilli 2-3
  13. Hung curd 1/2 cup
  14. Fresh coriander for garnishing

Instructions

  1. Mix rava, salt, ginger chilli paste, curd, beetroot pulp in a bowl.
  2. Mix well and make a thick batter. Cover and keep aside for 15 minutes. Uncover and add fruit salt. Mix well. Grease a round cake tin with oil.
  3. Pour the batter in greased cake tin and tap it nicely. Steam for 15-20 Minutes on high flame. Remove it from flame and allow to cool completely. Demould the dhokla. Spread Hung curd on the dhokla with a offset spatula.
  4. For tempering heat oil in a small wok. Crackle mustard seeds and sesame seeds. Add split red chillis and Curry leaves. Spread the tempering on prepared dhokla.
  5. Garnish with fresh coriander. Beautiful and mouthwatering red velvet rava dhokla is ready to eat!!
