This recipe has been inspired from one of many Tarla Dalal's delicious recipes.

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Cumin seeds: 1/2 tsp
  2. Grated ginger: 1 tsp
  3. 2 onions finely chopped
  4. Spinach : 1 cup
  5. Oats: 1 cup
  6. Chopped green chilli: 1
  7. Boiled smashed potato: 1
  8. Bread crumbs: 1/2 cup
  9. Oil and salt as needed

Instructions

  1. Take a pan, add oil, once the oil is hot add in the cumin seeds and sauté for a minute. Next add in the grated ginger, green chilli, onion and sauté till the onion turns golden brown in colour.
  2. Next add the spinach and oats, saute these well. Now add in the smashed potatoes, salt, bread crumbs and mix well. Turn off the flame and allow this mixture to cool. Once cooled, make small size balls out of this mixture.
  3. Heat oil in a pan, add a little oil and shallow fry these cutlets on a medium heat. Turn the other side and cook when it turns a little brown in colour. Transfer these cutlets to a tissue paper to drain any excess oil.
  4. Serve hot with tomato sauce or mint chutney.
