ABOUT Jalapeno cheese poppers RECIPE

This is a mexican dish, where the jalapeno peppers are stuffed with cheese and then fried, a delicious and yummy starter for all party times.

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. 6 pieces of jalapenoes or jaipuri lambi hari mirch
  2. Mozerella cheese 1 block
  3. 3-4 cubes of processed cheese or 2-3 slices of cheese slice (whatever is available)
  4. Oregano 1 & 1/2 tbsp
  5. Chilli flakes 1 tbsp
  6. Cornflour or rice flour (whatever available)
  7. Bread crumbs 1 & 1/2 cups
  8. A pinch of salt
  9. Water
  10. Refined oil for frying.

Instructions

  1. Wash the jalapenoes or lambi hari jaipuri mirch.
  2. Make diagnol slits ( medium cut) on one side of the jalapenoes . Make sure that the slit does not tear the jalapenoes apart and are not very long in length. The slit should be of medium size through which we can stuff cheese inside it.
  3. Take a bowl shred (kadukas) the mozerella cheese and the processed cheese cubes. You can cut chesse slices into small pieces and use instead of cheese cubes. Add chilli flakes ,oregano and a pinch of salt. Mix well .
  4. Now take cornflour or riceflour (whatever available) and add very little water to it. Mix well . The batter should be like normal pakora batter thick but not with lumps.
  5. Take a plate and spread bread crumbs Von it
  6. Now take a jalapeno and stuff the cheese mix inside it through the slit portion. While doing it make sure that you dont tear the jalapenos apart.
  7. Heat oil for frying.
  8. Now take the stuffed jalapeno dip it into the cornflour or rice batter so that the batter covers the jalapenoes all side .The same way as we make normal pakoras.
  9. Now roll the battered jalapenoes on the bread crumbs.Make sure that the crumbs cover the jalapenoes totaly
  10. Fry it for around 5 -10 minutes on medium flame together with the rest of jalapenoes.
  11. Serve hot with schewzan sauce or pizza sauce.
