ABOUT Jalapeno Cheese Bread Rolls RECIPE

These are tasty Jalapeno Cheese BreadRolls .Made with homemade bread dough that's filled with cheese and some pickled jalapeno peppers.

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. Whole wheat flour 1cup
  2. all purpose flour 1cup
  3. Luke warm water 1/2cup
  4. Honey 1tbsp
  5. Active Dry Yeast 1tsp
  6. Salt 1/2tsp
  7. Olive oil 1 1/2 Tsp
  8. Chopped Pickled Jalapeno Peppers 2-3 Tbsp
  9. Fteshly ground black pepper 1/2 Tsp
  10. Mixed Dried Herbs (Oregano, Parsley, Basil) 1Tsp
  11. Parmesan Shredded Cheese 1/4 Cup

Instructions

  1. Add luke warm water in a bowl. Add honey, stir to dissolve and add the yeast. Stir to mix.
  2. Set aside for 10-15 minutes or until the yeast mixture is frothy.
  3. Add flour and salt into a large bowl and mix well
  4. Pour in the yeast mixture and add olive oil. 
  5. Knead the dough for about 8 to 10 minutes until it is smooth and elastic. 
  6. Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl. 
  7. Cover the bowl with a piece of cling wrap and set aside in a warm place for 1 hour or until the dough has doubled in size.
  8. Preheat oven at 190*C for 10 minutes.
  9. Press down the dough on a lightly flour surface.
  10. Pull and stretch the dough into a rectangular shape.
  11. Then sprinkle mixed herbs, ground black pepper,and scatter the Jalapeno peppers, and cheese. Press down the filling lightly.
  12. Starting with a long edge, gently roll the dough into a log.
  13. Pinch both ends, and slice the log into ¾ to 1-inch rounds
  14. Place the rolls on the baking sheet, cut side up, and bake for about 18 to 20 minutes, or until the cheese has melted, and light golden brown in color.
  15. Remove the pan from the oven and let it rest for 10 minutes.

I made these rolls a couple of days ago. Jalapeños in the store were sad looking, so I used green chiles instead with sharp cheddar cheese. Wow, are these good!! The recipe made big, chewy, delicious rolls that went so well with homemade soup on a cold evening. Thank you for the recipe. It’s a keeper! best resume examples and templates
