Kids love Jam. Than why not prepare it fresh? You can prepare according to the season and no need to add preservatives and artificial colours.

Ingredients Serving: 2

Pear (ripe) 2
Sugar 4 tbsp + 1 tbsp ( Powdered)
Salt a pinch ( optional)
Squeezed grated Ginger water 1 tsp
Lemon juice 1 tbsp
Cinnamon powder 1/4 to 1/2 tsp

Instructions

Wash, peel and chop pears in small chunks.
Steam / pressure cook till soft with Sugar. ( no need to add water)
Let it cool. Blend or mash.
Now transfer in a heavy bottomed pan to cook.
Check the sweetness. Add extra powdered sugar if needed.
Now add ginger water. Let it get thick consistency.
It will maximum take 4 to 5 minutes as we have not added any water while steaming.
Add lemon juice. Stir a while. Add Cinnamon powder, mix and turn the gas off.
Your healthy homemade Jam is ready.
Let it cool. Transfer in airtight containers. Serve with Paratha or toast butter.
