Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 3cup washed, roughly chopped spinach (palak)
  2. 1cup chana dal soaked in water
  3. 2,3 green chilli chopped
  4. 1 tablespoon garlic pest
  5. 2 tablespoon Jagarry
  6. 1 and half tablespoon tamarind pest
  7. 2 tablespoon oil
  8. 1/2tablespoon garam masala
  9. Pinch of asefoetida
  10. 1. teaspoon cumin seeds
  11. 1 tes turmaric powder
  12. Red chiiy powder ,salt as your test
  13. 1/4 cup roasted peanuts
  14. Fine kasuri methi

Instructions

  1. To make Patal Bhaji, put spinach with chana daal, turmeric powder, peanut, salt and 2 and half cup of water in pressure cooker and take 2 whistles.
  2. Now open the cooker and let it get cooked for 5 6 mins till it becomes soft.
  3. Now for tadka, put oil, cumin seeds, asefoetida, turmeric powder, garlic past, chopped green chilies in a separate pan and roast it till a nice aroma comes.
  4. Now add this prepared tadka in the well cooked spinach daal present in the cooker.
  5. Also add jaggery, tamarind paste, garam masala and kasuri methi in the mixture and boil it for 2 3 mins.
  6. And lastly garnish the well prepared patal bhaji with crushed coconut.
  7. And serve it hot with roti or Rice
