ABOUT Brinjal masala fry RECIPE

A simple side dish for rice and dal..

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Small brinjals - 1/4 kg, cut into rounds
  2. Turmeric - 1/8 tsp
  3. Salt
  4. Oil - 3-4 tbsp
  5. Roast and grind to a powder:
  6. Chana dal - 1 tsp
  7. urad dal - 1 tsp
  8. Red chillies - 4
  9. Pepper - 1/4 tsp
  10. Cumin - 1/4 tsp
  11. Coriander seeds - 1/4 tsp

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a shallow pan. Add the cut brinjal and fry.
  2. Add turmeric and salt. Mix and cook till brinjal has fully cooked.
  3. Add in the ground powder and mix till brinjal is well coated.
  4. Fry for another 5-6 minutes till masala is cooked.
  5. Serve hot with rice and dal.
