ABOUT Batata Papdi Chat RECIPE

Chat can be found on roadside food carts all over India. Papdi chat is a famous snack recipe which is made using crispy papdi's, batata, sweet chutney and sev.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Maida 1 cup for papdi
  2. Oil for moyan
  3. Salt to taste
  4. Ajwaain 1/2 teaspoon
  5. Water for kneading
  6. Boiled potato
  7. Grated beetroot
  8. Grated carrot
  9. Onion chopped
  10. Green chillies
  11. Tomato ketchup
  12. Tamarind chutney
  13. Fresh beaten Curd
  14. Black pepper
  15. Chat masala
  16. Namkeen sev
  17. Coriander chutney
  18. Lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Make a dough for papdi.
  2. Take a bowl put maida, moyan, salt, ajwaain and water. Make papdis in desired shape and deep fry them.
  3. Now finely chop all the vegetables ie. Carrot, beetroot, onions, boiled potatoes, green chillies.
  4. Arrange the papdi 's in a plate.
  5. Top the papdi's with boiled potatoes.
  6. Add generous amount of fresh beaten curd.
  7. Add the green coriander chutney as much as you want.
  8. Top up with the sweet tamarind chutney
  9. Sprinkle all the spice powder, salt.
  10. Top up with the finely chopped carrot, beetroot, green chillies and onions. Top up with tomato ketchup.
  11. Squeeze with lemon juice and sprinkle chat masala for crispiness I added sev.
  12. If you use disposal plates then it will give a road side street food feeling.
  13. Serve the papdi chat as soon as you prepared.
