ABOUT Leche Frita (Fried Milk) RECIPE

Its an easy Spanish dessert which is easy to make and delicious in taste. It has lot of flavors and you cant stop yourself at one after eating this.

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. Milk 200 millilitre
  2. Cornflour 50 grams
  3. Cinnamon Stick 1
  4. Lemon rind half teaspoon
  5. Sugar 2 tablespoon
  6. Butter 1 tablespoon
  7. Castor sugar 1 tablespoon
  8. Cinnamon powder 2 pinch
  9. Egg 1
  10. Bread crumbs 1 cup
  11. Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. In a pan take milk, add cinnamon stick and lemon rind.
  2. Place in heat and boil it.
  3. After 1 or 2 boil switch off the flame and drain the milk and let it cool.
  4. Now in the same pan add flavored milk.
  5. Add corn flour, sugar and butter.
  6. Mix till cornflour gets incorporated.
  7. Place it on the heat and stir constantly.
  8. Cook till it forms into a big lump.
  9. Pour ready mixture into a greased thali or tin.
  10. Let it cool completely and freeze it for 2-3 hours or overnight.
  11. Take it out and cut into square pieces.
  12. In a bowl whisk egg.
  13. Take breadcrumbs in a plate.
  14. Heat oil in a pan for frying.
  15. Take one piece of cooked milk and dip in beaten egg.
  16. Cover with breadcrumbs.
  17. Deep fry in medium hot oil till golden brown.
  18. Make all the pieces like this.
  19. Take castor sugar in a bowl, add cinnamon powder and mix.
  20. Coat fried milk pieces in castor sugar mixture.
  21. Serve hot with chocolate syrup or icecream.
