No fry chicken chili

ABOUT No fry chicken chili RECIPE

A chicken chili recipe with very less oil. No need of deep frying chicken still tastes good. My mother cooks this very often and I learned it from her.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Chicken 250 grams
  2. Onion 3
  3. 6 Cloves of garlic
  4. 6 to 8 Green chilies
  5. 1 inch Ginger
  6. Capsicum 1
  7. Mustard oil 2 tablespoon
  8. Salt as per taste
  9. Soy sauce 1 and 1/2 tablespoon
  10. Tomato ketchup 2 tablespoon
  11. Chili sauce 2 tablespoon
  12. Vinegar 2 tablespoon
  13. Green coriander few twigs
  14. Cornflour 1 tablespoon

Instructions

  1. Wash chicken well and drain water thoroughly.
  2. Finely chop all vegetables.
  3. Add to the chicken.
  4. Add a table spoon of vinegar, one table spoon soy sauce and oil.
  5. Mix well. Cover and keep for marinating for about 1 to two hours. If you don't have time leave at least for 30 to 45 minutes minimum so that chicken absorbs all the aromas.
  6. Now place a thick bottom kadhai on fire and add chicken to it. No need to add extra oil as we have already added oil.
  7. Reduce flame to the lowest setting. Add salt and let it simmer.
  8. Stir in between.
  9. When the chicken is almost done and have become tender add on all the sauce, remaining soy sauce and vinegar.
  10. Mix very well.
  11. Garnish with hara dhaniya. Goes well with steamed rice or fried rice.
  12. If you want some gravy then mix corn flour in half cup water and add along with the sauces at the final step. Boil for a minute till gravy becomes thick.
