ABOUT Malai Ghevar RECIPE

Ghevar is a rich and traditional sweet from Rajasthan which is made during festivals. It is made of maida and besan. It looks and tastes very delicious.

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Maida 2 cups
  2. Ghee 1/4 cup
  3. Milk 1/4 cup
  4. Cold water 4 cup
  5. Gram flour 1 teaspoon
  6. Lemon juice 1 teaspoon
  7. Sugar 1 cup
  8. Water 1 cup
  9. Cardamon 2
  10. Milk 1 litre
  11. Sugar 1/2 cup
  12. Kesar 1 Pinch
  13. Chopped dry fruits 1 tablespoons
  14. Enough ghee for deep-fry

Instructions

  1. Take a big mixing bowl and add ghee and ice cubes.
  2. Beat it for 8-10 minutes or until ghee becomes creamy
  3. Take out ice cubes from the ghee and add maida, cold milk, gram flour, cold water and lemon juice.
  4. Mix and make lumps free better.
  5. Heat ghee in a pan.
  6. Pour 1 tablespoon of batter in a mould. After 30 seconds, add 1 more tablespoon batter and then repeat this process 5 times. Total 6 tablespoons of batter is required for 1 ghevar. Fry till goden brown.
  7. Heat milk in a pan for malai, take out 1/4 cup milk and add kesar.
  8. When milk becomes thick, add kesar milk, cook for few minutes and add sugar.
  9. Heat 1 cup wate,r add sugar and make 1 thread syrup.
  10. When syrup cools down pour on ghevar.
  11. Pour malai and spread chopped dry fruits. Malai ghevar is ready to serve
