Ingredients Serving: 6
Maida or All purpose flour 60 grams
Butter 30 grams
Condensed milk 100 grams
Vanilla essence 1 teaspoon
Baking powder 1/2 teaspoon
Baking soda 1/4 teaspoon
Milk powder 1 tablespoon
Water 60 millilitre
For making canned cherries:
Fresh cherries 100 grams
Water 1 cup
Sugar 3 tablespoon
For three milk mix:
Cream 1/4 cup
Milk (boiled) 1/2 cup
Condensed milk 1/4 cup
For decoration :
Non-dairy cream 1/2 cup
Milk masala 1 tablespoon
Chopped roasted almonds 8
Instructions
Take 1/2 cup of milk, boil and evaporate till 1/4 cup. No need to add sugar.
To make canned cherries, take fresh cherries, add 1 cup of water and 3 tablespoon of sugar boil for 4 minutes. Turn off gas and your canned cherries are ready.
Preheat the oven at 180 degrees celsius.
Take maida, add baking powder and baking soda.
Beat butter and condensed milk until fluffy.
Add all dry ingredients in wet ingredients and beat for 2 minutes.
Add vanilla essence, milk powder and add water to adjust consistency.
Dust and grease the baking tin.
Pour the batter in the baking tin.
Bake the cake in preheated oven at 180 derees celsius for 25 to 30 minutes.
Remove the cake and de-mould in a deep dish.
Mix evaporated milk, condensed milk and fresh cream together and make three milk mix to soak the cake.
Pour the three milk mixture on the warm cake. The cake should be warm not hot.
Cover the cake and chill it for 30 minutes
Again soak the cake with 3 milk mixture.
Decorate with non-dairy whipped cream, canned cherries, milk masala powder and chopped roasted almond.
Served chilled the Tres Leches Cake and enjoy the richness of three milk.
