ABOUT Ricotta Cheese ( Homemade) RECIPE

Sandwich with home made and flavoured ricotta cheese is utterly delicious and healthy. Goes well with sun dried tomatoes.

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. 1 litre Milk ( cow or buffalo )
  2. 1 Full Lemon juice
  3. 4 tablespoon Cream
  4. 1 teaspoon Salt
  5. For Flavouring:
  6. 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
  7. 1 teaspoon Chilly flakes
  8. 1 teaspoon Oregano

Instructions

  1. Boil the milk and add cream to it.
  2. When boiled add salt.
  3. Then add lemon juice and the milk will begin to curdle.
  4. When fully curdled, strain it in a muslin cloth.
  5. Put the curdled milk in running water by holding the cloth in both hands as the taste of lemon disappears.
  6. Squeeze the cheese slowly and gently till all the excess water is squeezed out.
  7. Put it in a bowl and whisk it slowly and gently.
  8. Your ricotta cheese is ready.
  9. To make it flavoured, add garlic powder , chilly flakes and oregano
