Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Chicken- 1/2 kg specially bone pieces
  2. Ginger garlic paste- 1 tbsp
  3. Onion- 1 sliced
  4. Salt- to taste
  5. Oil- 3 to 4 tbsp
  6. Green chilly paste- 1 1/2 tsp
  7. clove- 2
  8. Cardamom- 2
  9. Bay leaf- 1
  10. Cinnamon stick- 2 inch piece
  11. Cumin seeds- 1/2 tsp
  12. garam masala powder- 1 tsp
  13. Wheat- 1 cup ( whole, crushed)
  14. Yellow lentils- 1/2 cup
  15. Salt- to taste
  16. Water- as per need
  17. Haleem masala- 1/2 packet
  18. Coriander- for garnishing

Instructions

  1. Soaked wheat and yellow lentils in a water for 4 to 5 hours or whole night.
  2. After it wash them. Add them in a pressure cooker, add salt and 1 1/2 glass of water. Cover the lid and cook on a low flame till its completely cooked.
  3. When its cool, grind it in a grinder and make a smooth paste.
  4. Heat oil in a pressure cooker, add whole garam masala and sliced onions. When its brown then add chicken, ginger garlic paste, salt, green chilly paste & garam masala powder. Mix it well. Saute it for 5 minutes.
  5. After it add 2 cups of water and cover the lid. Cook till chicken is done completely.
  6. Now in a large vessel mix both ingredients. Add salt and water if required. Add Haleem masala and mix well. Cook till boil comes.
  7. Garnish it with fried onions, lemon and chopped coriander.
