Egg Chop

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 2 Eggs
  2. 4 medium sized potatoes
  3. Gram flour 1 cup
  4. Oil for deep frying
  5. Red chilli powder 1 tsp
  6. Turmeric powder 1/ 2tsp
  7. Cumin powder 1 tsp
  8. Salt to taste
  9. Chopped coriander 1tbsp

Instructions

  1. Boil the eggs hard and cut vertically into quarters
  2. Boil the potatoes cool and mash
  3. Add to the potatoes 1/2 tsp chilli powder, 1/2 tsp cumin powder salt and chopped coriander. Mix well.
  4. Add the remaining masala to the gramflour and add water to make thick falling consistency batter.
  5. Take some potato mix and pat on the palm over it put a quarter of the egg and cover it completely with the potato.
  6. Dip in the batter.
  7. Heat oil in a pan and deep fry until golden brown.
  8. Transfer on a kitchen towel to remove excess oil.
  9. Serve hot with any sauce or chutney of your choice.
