Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Besan 2+1/2 cup
  2. Water as required
  3. salt as per taste
  4. Ginger Paste 1 Tsp
  5. Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
  6. Baking Powder 1 Tsp
  7. Bakind soda 1 pinch
  8. Oil 1 tbsp
  9. Oil for greasing 1 tsp
  10. curry leaves 10
  11. musturd seeds 1 tsp
  12. Green chillies 4 slited
  13. Sugar 2 tbsp
  14. Water 1 + 1/2 glass
  15. Lime juice 2 tbsp
  16. Chopped coriander leaves. 1/4 cup.

Instructions

  1. Make a thick batter with water and besan.
  2. Add ginger paste ,salt,turmeric powder.
  3. Keep aside for 10 mnts
  4. Make sure that there should not be any lumps
  5. Mix again .
  6. Heat 2 glass of water in idli stand.
  7. Keep a plate of holes in stand .
  8. Grease a deep and broad vessel.
  9. Add baking powder and baking soda in batter.
  10. Mix well quickly.
  11. Pour batter in the idli stand.
  12. Put in the idli stand
  13. Cover and cool for 25 to 30 mnts on medium heat.
  14. Check with a knife.
  15. Cool and cut in desired shape.
  16. Heat 1 tsp oil in a pan.
  17. Splutter mustard seed.
  18. Add curry patta and fry till golden.
  19. Make sugar water with lime juice.
  20. Add it in the pan
  21. Add green slited chillies.
  22. Boil for 15 mnts.
  23. Cool and pour on the dhokla.
  24. Keep the dhokla in fridge.
  25. When serve then add rest of sugar syrup.
  26. Garnish with coriander leaves.
