ABOUT Panch Ratna Daal RECIPE

This is amazing nutritious recipe of daal as having used 5 different daals here! The aroma of ginger and chilli is making the daal more tastier! Serve it with jeera rice or peas pulao in your dinner!

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 1 tbsp oil
  2. 1 tbsp ginger paste
  3. 1 tbsp green chili paste
  4. 1 cup finely chopped tomatoes
  5. 1/2 cup tuvar daal
  6. 1/2 cup moong daal
  7. 1/2 cup masoor daal
  8. 1/4 cup chana daal
  9. 1/4 cup udad daal
  10. Salt to taste
  11. 1 tsp turmeric powder
  12. 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
  13. 1 tsp Coriander powder
  14. 1 glass of water
  15. To temper:
  16. 1 tbsp ghee
  17. 1 tsp mustered seeds
  18. 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
  19. Pinch of Asafoetida
  20. few curry leaves
  21. 1 Cinnamon stick
  22. 2-3 cloves
  23. 1 bay leaf
  24. 1 kashmiri chilli

Instructions

  1. First take a medium sized bowl and add all the daals and wash it well.
  2. Now in cooker, put there oil, ginger and green chili and mix it well.
  3. Add all the daals and water and other masalas and salt and let it be cooked for 3 whistles.
  4. Show down the gas and let it be cooked for next 7-8 mins.
  5. Once cooker releases air, do tempering using the ingredients mentioned in 'To temper'.
  6. Add the tempering into daal and mix it well
  7. Your panch ratna daal is ready, serve it hot with jeera rice or green peas pulao!
