ABOUT Mushroom Korma Masala RECIPE

Yogurt based gravy ,rich flavoured with spices.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Mushroom 1 cup
  2. Almonds - 5
  3. Melon seeds - 1 tbsp
  4. Poppy seeds - 1 tbsp
  5. Cashew nuts - 8
  6. Fried onion 1 cup
  7. Cinnamon - 1 inch
  8. Cloves-2
  9. Bay leaf -1
  10. Cardamom-1
  11. Cumin Seeds - 1 Tsp
  12. coriander powder 1tsp
  13. Cumin powder - 1/2 tsp
  14. Turmeric Powder - 1/4 Tsp
  15. Red chilly powder - 1/2 tsp
  16. Tomato puree - 1/2 cup
  17. Garam masala - 1/2 teaspoons
  18. Coriander leaves - 1/4 bunch
  19. Yogurt - 2 tbsp
  20. Spring onions - 1/2 cup (optional)
  21. Oil 3 tbsp
  22. salt as per taste

Instructions

  1. Take a pan,add some oil and fry onion on low flame till golden brown.Make paste of it in a blender.
  2. Boil water in a pan and add almonds, melon seeds, poppy seeds, cashew nut and boil it for 15 mins and transfer it into a blender and make a fine paste,then add onion paste in it and blend well together.
  3. Heat oil in a pan and add cinnamon stick, cloves, bay leaf, cardamom, cumin seeds and saute it.
  4. Then add ginger garlic paste, tomato puree and cook it.
  5. Then add nuts paste, coriander powder, cumin powder, turmeric powder, red chilly powder, salt and cook it.
  6. Even before it comes to boil add yogurt and cook it with the lid on it for 30 minutes.
  7. Now add the mushrooms and mix thoroughly and keep the lid on it for 3 to 4 minutes.
  8. Then add spring onions and switch off the flame.
  9. Garnish with coriander leaves.
